Although FF8 was the first game in the series I actually completed, it was the point where I felt the series began to put too much style over substance and make things look "pretty". As far as I'm concerned, 7 and 9 were the only two games in the 3D era to ever find that ideal balance of gameplay, character, and style. Debate me. |
