For my doggo, I leave instrumental music playing for background noise.

And for my cat, I sometimes leave YouTube on for her. I find an eight hour video of birds, and squirrels, for her to watch.

That's an interesting idea; I sometimes turn on Spotify in the apartment when I know the cat is visible in the camera, but that's just to watch him get startled. (My parents got me a cat camera a year or so ago, so now I can spy on him-- sometimes he doesn't move much so I want to make sure he's okay)

I would like to invest in a cat cam, but it would need nigh vision. Tali likes to knock her toys off of her cat tree, among other things.

Nope. Poppy just likes to nap, or watch the traffic.

Noise disturbs sleep after all.

A night light, and usually some measure of heat or air conditioning is left on in harsher weather.
Other than that, a bowl of fresh water and food is all that they need.

the cat i have now does not give a flying hoot about TV or anything like that. but i used to live with a couple of cats that used to really like watching old movies. that was their favorite for some bizarre reason. those dudes really liked cinema

i tend to save electricity, so when i'm not at home most everything is turned off. don't cats/dogs have better eyesight than us humans in the dark, though?
