Defence. While most people would pick Evasion, it's better to have something hurt less when it does hit you. What good is high evasion without defence against high damage when something does hit you? You gonna be OHKO'd.

At least with Defence, you can go up and laugh in damage's face.

No More Heroes - Henry on Bitter difficulty. He can combo you to death from full health, and then use an insta-death move as a finisher just to pour the salt into the wound.
