Lots of Puyo Puyo Tetris. Already up to rank 6000 after ~40 hours of playtime. "The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear." --Ram Dass |

Borderlands 3.
Catching up on DLC, level caps, and a really good new build on top of it. Feels like a whole new game now... |

Went to a local for Guilty Gear Xrd recently. Absolutely got my ass handed to me but I had fun. Been on a general fighting game kick lately though, some recent games I've played off the top of my head are Street Fighter Third Strike, Garou Mark of the Wolves and KOF 13 with some pals.
I'd say as a whole with fighting games I'm what you'd call a "passionate scrub". I love and respect high-level fighting game play even if I am nowhere near that level myself. I wouldn't say I'm the worst player, per say, but I'm no Evo champion. That's for damn sure. MVC2 at Evo this year though. IT'S MAHVEL TIME BABY! And you know what that means? LIGHT PUNCH. MEDIUM PUNCH. LIGHT KICK. HEAVY PUNCH. HOLD DIAGONAL TO WHICHEVER WAY YOU FUCKIN' GOING. ____________________ Giant Paratroopa Affected by 'Wooster Syndrome' ++++!! Handsome Gentleman 7/23/18 |

Building a competitive team in Sword now.
I have my Farfetch'd so far. Working on breeding a shiny Darumaka, then I'm gonna work on a shiny Pawniard. Need to find another Contrary Shuckle to put in a net ball if I want to go for a shiny there too. I also have a decent IV'd Cinderace to seed into getting my Scorbunny. Leaving only a Perish Body Cursola to seed into my Corsola. Team: Sirfetch'd (Adamant, Scrappy) Bisharp (Adamant, Defiant, shiny) Corsola-G (Calm, Cursed Body, shiny) Cinderace (Adamant, Blaze) Shuckle (Impish, Contrary, shiny) Darmanitan (Jolly, Gorilla Tactics, shiny) |

playing fallout: new vegas... first time really playing a bethesda game except for that one time i sampled skyrim in 2011. it's... i go back and forth on how great i think its story is? it's definitely better than skyrim by a million miles (considering it has a story), but it's still... not really resonating in a very deep way, i guess. i like a lot of the characters and a lot of the factions, and the gameplay's somewhat tedious but... i almost prefer the completely shallow fuck-around nature of skyrim to some of FNV's ham-fisted attempts at depth. there's people (hbomberguy) that think that caesar justifying the legion being horrible fascists through hegelian dialectics and etc. is brilliant and deep but i don't think namedropping hegel automatically leads to depth -- he just seems like a fucking shithead fascist who's read like 3 books before. the NCR's far more interesting in an exploration of carrying the logic of "the ends justify the means" to its inevitable conclusion and the ways in which it mirrors the US government's bullishness (ironically), its corruption, and what it's like to be an outsider to that mode of thinking instead of living directly under it. there's better words i could be using but it's too early for htat shit bye
also playing final fantasy 1... the NES version. it gets tedious at times and stun is a bullshit status element (i wouldn't have minded the marsh cave so bad if it weren't for getting into paralysis loops on my way out, seriously), but otherwise i am enjoying it. not that much else worth mentioning. a little terraria here, a little civ 6 there. civ 6 sucks btw but i've already written too many words and i'm not sure how to describe all the problems i have with it yet anyway... i need more time with it still i sunk 600 hours into civ 5 lol |

Another streamer had asked me when Pokemon Home came out if I had the means to get a Wimpod with Aqua Jet. While chatting shit up with Trapster while he's going through his stuff, he mentions he got a popplio over Surprise trade, I ask him to make the hellspawn reproduce so I can set into motion making Jetpod happen.
I set out to chain the Brionne (I fed the derpseal a large exp candy) with a Corphish to chain into a random Wimpod I had to scout in Mine #2. I get my Jetpod in short order and start breeding to get better IVs. Breeding my 5 IV that I got in short order, trying to fish up a perfect 6, I get a shiny. Not JUST a shiny, but the box variant shiny, which is correctly rare from breeding. |

i quit new vegas lmao
really 100% of my problems with new vegas came down to the fact that it's an obsidian game made in a bethesda engine. i feel like if you took out the bethesda engine, it would be a lot better still chuggin along through final fantasy. very hard. still having fun despite that. |

WWE Supercard.
Yeah, it's a mobile game, but they've fixed up a lot of the problems with it since I last played it. |

Some Borderlands 3 alongside Trapster on PC as it launched on Steam at last.
I have to host the co-op, because his PC is choking on it and stuttering when he hosts it.. It's actually noticable on my end, as I lose some control for brief moments while maintaining smooth framerates. The world could always use more heroes! |

More shiny breeding. Got my shiny contrarian Shuckle on the fist shiny that popped out. Got YET ANOTHER shiny Weak Armor Corsola. I decided shiny hunting the Darumaka wasn't worth it, so I set out to find a Zen Mode Darmanitan to catch in a great ball to use (bred til I got a 5 IV, SpA Gorilla Tactics anyway).
Digging through the eight boxes of dumb shit I got from Surprise Trade, I found several useful pokes in interesting balls (Dreepy in a beast ball) and a ton of rare egg moves. I wound up with three more of the hacked mons from the genning group I considered joining, then left because their attitude sucked. Took the free master balls they had attached, and am considering just throwing hem out. As for Dragon Quest Builders, I'm just past the first "defend the base" phase of Khrumbul Dun. There is some seriously fucked up undertones of this chapter. There is ONE WOMAN in the whole town of homoerotic muscleheads that all have very unsubtle rage boners over her. I'm playing as the female BUilder, so the dialogue is also kinda hot and heavy abotu my character occasionally. I wish I could say "just go beat off, ya lunkheads." It's also weird because the fucking golem is in on the hornballery. |

Started playing Animal Crossing New Horizons at 8-ish after work... I had to force myself to stop playing at 3:30.
My island is fragmented with a forking river that I thought would be awesome, until I realized how long it takes to get the damn vault pole. After time traveling mildly to get it, I got a hold of a buddy who gave me the fruits I didn't get (peaches native, oranges from mom), then spent an hour and a half making a makeshift orchard. Gonna settle for what I have, then I'll start messing with it more after work again. My island started with Jay and Hazel. I like Jay, he was one of my OGs in Pocket Camp. I hate Hazel though, I want to yeet her into the fucking ocean. Can I do that? |

♥13291 ✿4718 ★58 Just played through Ranma 1/2: Toraware no Hanayome; this game is a digital comic for the PC Engine CD, and it's the first in the genre I've played. Was good language practice; I've been trying to dust off my Japanese and get better at it.
I have mixed feelings about it. For one thing, it was really fun to go through! I'm a big fan of the Ranma 1/2 franchise, the story was silly and fun, the art was great (the fact that the standard CD-ROM2 sucks at FMV actually gave it a unique feel, since they couldn't just fall back on the anime). But the thing is, it never really felt like... a game? Like the closest it got to a game was basically "choose the options in the right order, or we'll wait until you do". Even the visual novels I've played generally have more game elements, at least multiple endings or a losing condition. |
