Posted by DarkWitchClaire Tough choice. If I may nominate several, I'd say Akira's a pretty big one as boring of an answer as that is. Some of the best animation I've ever seen in any movie period. Story-wise though it leaves out a lot of the manga. I guess Ghost in the Shell also goes hand-in-hand with that one. The YuYu Hakusho Poltergeist Report movie is another one of my favorites. Story-wise it's not anything too special, I wouldn't recommend watching if you haven't seen the series, but man that movie is just pure eye candy visually. Easily one of the best-animated anime things in general from the 90's. Same thing with the DBZ movies, alright movies on their own but the animation team really bring their A-game for all of them. Also, End of Evangelion is another great one. Gave a good ending to the series, visually amazing, honestly watching that movie alone is a good enough reason to watch Eva.
