I'm a Computer Science major at the Georgia College State University, planning to go into interactive media design, maybe a minor in Literature. I don't have a job job, but I'm gonna try to get one at the library. I've worked in Libraries before, so maybe the experience will help me get one :D

You live in Georgia?! I'm originally from Atlanta :o

I'm at one of those hippie liberal arts schools where there aren't any majors. We have divisions, though, and I'm in the Comparative Culture one for master's students. On my second year now, gonna turn in my thesis on Tuesday and graduate in March. Then it's (hopefully) onto PhD track at (hopefully) the same school!

Before that, I did 2 years of research in the Sociology department at another university in Japan (Waseda), and before that I got my bachelor's degree in Linguistics in 3 1/2 years at the University in Georgia. One of those years was spent in Tokyo, however.

Yeah, I'm from the Atlanta area as well. More so to the west, in Snellville, but it's only like 15-20 minutes away. My brother actually goes to UGA xD I plan to transfer into Tech, though.

I work a retail position at Big Lots. I pretty much do everything but manage the place. I like the job, but some of the stingy bullshit I have to put up is ricockulous. I love the days I can just go into the warehouse and just build furniture all day. Those days just go so smooth.

I am interested in a night audit position at some hotel, whom a friend of mine is going to set me up with. Big difference here is full-time status. I am part time now with the next four fucking days off.

Pharmacy Technician. Sucks.

Mind if I ask why? The pharmaceutical direction has interested me in the past.

I'm a Software Specialist for a company that does City Management Software (from taxes and payroll to infrastructure maps ,sub-contractor management, etc)

I seldom go on-site (since my collegue that usually does that is on a paternity leave), seldom do first line calls when I have free time. I'm also the person that does the link betweek the support guys and the development guys.

I'm also doing my master in IT Project Management at night. Not that bad, leave work, do 40 miles in rush hour traffic, get to class.

Interesting how most ended up doing the things related to IT in the end.

As for me...I went to college and got two bachelors degrees in information systems and finance...went to Chicago to trade financial derivatives for two years. Returned to get my masters 2 years ago, finished, and am looking for jobs in trading agricultural derivatives.

Funny to think 10+ years ago I was making video game websites... jeez. How life has changed.

I just recently changed my major to English, I'm thinking of being a teacher and doing the computer science stuff on my own time, for funzies. The exact opposite of what I was planning to do two months ago (Make videogames for a living, write books as a hobby)

I'm currently working on a Comp Sci major where I am, hopefully going into game design. I feel like I really need to learn better data handling before I can do anything I haven't done before though. Especially maps. I understand how a tile based one would be a matrix of tiles, but I don't understand how I'd save it or keep it in the program or anything.

Comp sci is really fun though :P

I used to be a Comp Sci major when I first started. I found it had too much math for me. I guess the easiest solution is a bitmap map format... but I know there are more creative methods :)
