Posted by DarkWitchClaire Well, to shill Guilty Gear for a moment, there are lots of interesting and unique Guilty Gear characters. Venom, for one thing. I mean come on, the man fights with a pool cue and uses billiard balls as projectiles. Tell me that isn't rad as shit. Bedman's another interesting one, especially considering that nobody plays him. The design of his bed is pretty cool, and I've never seen another fighting game character who is constantly asleep and fights with a mech bed. Also, he has a pretty interesting mechanic which allows him to set markers on the screen when he does special moves which allow him to create a "replay" of that special move to create cool combos and pressure and create setups and such. ____________________ Giant Paratroopa Affected by 'Wooster Syndrome' ++++!! Any fighters that are better on home consoles than the arcade? "Miracles happen, when you believe..."

Posted by Danika Probably the Street Fighter Alpha/Zero series. When they were initially released on home console there were exclusive characters given that weren't in the arcade release. Posted by DarkWitchClaire For singleplayer, fighting boss I-No in Guilty Gear XX (although granted, the music was awesome and she did a victory pose where she took her top off when I lost, which did a great deal to soften the blow for 14 year old me). For multiplayer, playing literally any game with delay based netcode. Either that or that one MVC2 machine I found with a really fucked up joystick on one side, which happened to be the side I was playing. ____________________ Giant Paratroopa Affected by 'Wooster Syndrome' ++++!! Posted by Danika Yeah, there's one really good one in my state that I know but it's an hour and a half drive away. There's still the odd arcade machine here and there though, my movie theater has a House of the Dead machine for instance. I do wish arcades weren't as much of a rarity, but it's good to know they still exist in some capacity even if just a little bit. ____________________ Giant Paratroopa Affected by 'Wooster Syndrome' ++++!!
