But I don't know, I think it's the interpersonal stuff that made Final Fantasy II more effective. also, it's a game that tried a lot of new things and many of them failed completely (the leveling system, the annoying conversation system), which is pretty depressing to see too from an entirely different standpoint. |

I'm not super familiar with the SaGa system, but I think I've heard it's a similar "you gain in what you use" system? But a bit more polished. So it might not be that weird to you.
