Eh, sorry. I've accidentaly hit Enter before the thread was completed.

Anyway, here is some stuff I've drawn with three different pencils.

It's the first time I try to draw this character, but it still doesn't cover the fact I have some problems with mobility and fluidness without making the character off-model. I hope I can fix that.

As usual, the scanner ruins the quality much, much more with no hope of fixing it, especially with what happened to the second one. It looks so bad it makes me want to change scanner one day. :/

Comments?

EDIT: Links fixed

Something else I did in my free time. "To fix something, add more lines". And so this wa made.

The quality didn't get ruined by the scanner this time, due to me using a pen and not doing a special shading. o.o

Is that hand intended only for self-punching, being a left hand on a right arm? :P

It's called "Reverse Hand Syndrome". Some characters have it, sepecially if they were made out of a joke (in this case, trying to transform some random lines into something better by adding more lines).

Let's revive the thread with a mostly cross-post, with things I've done more or less this December.

Something that took me too much time - I jokingly called this Not-Haruhi, then I went and actually drawn her. Welp.

Unfinished scene - ...and I thought it was a good idea to mix leaf and fire.

Strange angel - I have no idea.

Scaling experiment - Slightly NSFW/questionable, I guess, mostly because I didn't bother to draw the rest of the clothes here.

also, uh... this
oh dear (NSFW!) A whole page of... things done yesterday and touched up today because the pencils I've used are weird

Oh look, something with actual shading. That hasn't showed up lately, huh?

The scanner is back for this one as the phone's camera kept screwing up.

Kiki's Delivery Service?

That broom sorta makes it look like you took inspiration from it.

heh, no

it's not really based or inspired by anything

I've drawn this as I distinctily remember drawing something like it months ago and either screwing up badly or not liking the result - so I wanted to try again.

You've got a really nice drawing style, I kinda envy you because I was never that great at art at school. Keep up the good work, looking forward to anything new you can share! :)

oh hum

this wasn't supposed to be part of the in-progress avatar set, but I liked the way it came out (shading & line art)

fun fact: this character uses these pink colors primarily as a way to use otherwise unused set of pencils (namely the non-peach pink/magenta/violet hue)

Turned out nicely! Those colors work together well together so it worked out. I saw this on twitter. Very nice :D

wew, I haven't done this in about two years

something I've drawn today
a glorified anatomy/shading test; obviously NSFW with bonus doodle
uploaded it as I liked the way the shading came out, though the phone cam quality kind of hides it I guess

I quite enjoy your shading and rendering style, just looking through that account in particular. Your art style is sort of charming and fun while at the same time having great capacity for detail in terms of anatomy and rendering. I think in that first image in your tweet, the face stylistically contrasts too much with the body. The body is pretty well-done anatomically, and it's drawn and rendered in a sort of a detailed fashion, but it really doesn't mesh well with the more cute, cartoonish face of the character which leads to a look that is somewhat uncanny to me. If you intended it as an anatomy/shading test, it definitely succeeded in that respect though. Anatomically it looks sound to me, and the shading is very well done.

yeah, this one was drawn somewhat more realistically than usual. the contrast of the phone pic doesn't help in this regard -- it doesn't nearly give the same efffect in person :P
usually I use different proportions and don't go too far with the shading.

basically, imagine the drawing on the right but less rushed and slightly more detailed :P

because the one from yesterday was a bit more realistic than usual, here we go again

all of these are NSFW of course

big water bucket & random thing
- (left) a bunch of characters in an oversized water bucket; mostly based off a very rough sketch from some time ago.
- (right) something drawn to fill up the spare space of the A4 page
this also shows a quirk with the way I draw characters with animal ears, where I also draw the human ears

MB and MBS doodles
for fun
yes, those two different characters are intentionally drawn very similarly

with this you could probably notice what changed in my art style since 2018 :P

I figured I'd actually try drawing a new avatar, which is something I've been putting off for quite a while. Done on XP's mspaint with a mouse, because of course I would.

This resulted in the quest for the new avatar, with these pictures being in chronological order. Mouse-hover the images for more info:

I've drawn another avatar, which meant yet again fighting against the mouse.

It's based off this mspaint drawing I made a couple of days ago:

I reshaded part of it, since I can't let the shading be a downgrade from the previous avatar. :V
Originally the avatar version looked like this:

but the color of the skin didn't look right to me, so I changed it:

and then I fit it into the 200x200 avatar limit.

The full evolution + some extras can be found here.
