Would RIV (robot immunodeficiency virus) be like a computer virus for robots? "Miracles happen, when you believe..."

♥13536 ✿4705 ★50 Posted by Danika I mean I guess the question is what a robot "immune system" is... a virus probably couldn't jump from biological lifeforms to robots, but I bet a bacteria could. Make sure to change your oil frequently, robot-chan! And then if they have an immune system to keep bacteria out of vulnerable mechanisms, then it can get infected with the computer virus we could call RIV :p Posted by DarkWitchClaire It was me! I added them on my birthday, wondered how long it would take for someone to notice/catch them. I still haven't caught any |

Wouldn't Chrono Trigger be a good stream idea for July 19? "Miracles happen, when you believe..."

♥13537 ✿4705 ★50 Posted by Danika Chrono Trigger is always a good game; is there any particular significance to the 19th there? I don't see it |

♥13539 ✿4705 ★50 Posted by Danika Ah! I probably knew that at one point but forgot Then yeah! Final Fantasy VI or Below the Root might be other good options Posted by DarkWitchClaire Final Fantasy III maybe? But it seems unfair to choose a remake... also jeez, I didn't play many RPGs on that platform I guess |

♥13541 ✿4705 ★50 Posted by Danika That's a good question. Radar Rat Race is 1981; seems like there should be one earlier than that but I can't think of one. Posted by DarkWitchClaire Not that many! I don't have a 2600 and haven't really dug into its library; of the systems I do have, the only one that I've played 70's software on is the Apple ][: Steve Wozniak's Little Brick Out. Hell, I haven't even gotten around to playing Zork beyond the most basic poking! |

♥13542 ✿4705 ★50 Posted by DarkWitchClaire When I played the game the first time, I would've said the destruction of Zeal. I just really liked the Enlightened Ones, even though I knew they were doomed and I knew their civilization was irredeemable I hoped they would survive somehow, maybe getting twisted in the future into something that I would be happier to destroy myself-- but of course, that isn't a bad part of the game. It was just me getting way too into the story. There's a tragedy there. (I will lead my child, Algo, upon the path of destruction...) I guess from a more reasonable viewpoint, I think the fact is that I felt like 2,300 A.D., 12,000 A.D., and 65,000,000 B.C. were so different from the time periods where you spend most of the game (1,000 A.D. and 600 A.D.) that they could be different planets, but those two are very similar. Would've been nicer if you could see more connections to the world throughout. (The person in 1,999 A.D. talking about "Guardia Dome" or whatever is a nice step in that direction) |
