♥13693 ✿4711 ★53 Posted by Danielle Dunno, I might have one now somewhere Posted by DarkWitchClaire A computer I was using died horribly because of a bad hard drive; worse, it wasn't technically our computer so I couldn't back things up, everything was lost |

♥13694 ✿4711 ★53 Posted by Danielle I see a lot of pink ones on eBay! But they're mostly pink and black, which I think is a cool aesthetic but idk if it fits your preferences |

♥13695 ✿4711 ★53 Posted by DarkWitchClaire CompactFlash I guess; mostly I think people forget that it's still a perfectly usable format, you'd think it was like 5.25" floppies from how people talk about it of course, inserting a 5.25" floppy is much easier than inserting a compactflash card the right way Posted by Danielle White. As long as it doesn't yellow, because that just looks awful |

♥13698 ✿4711 ★53 Posted by DarkWitchClaire The TI SN76489 sound chip, which was used in the TI-99/4A and the ColecoVision, among other things, boots up in a state where sound is playing at full blast; one of the first things to do in a BIOS is to turn it off. Now, most machines that used this chip have a ROM BIOS (even the ColecoVision, surprising for a console of the era), so that's not a huge problem... The Sega SG-1000/SC-3000 also used this chip, and it doesn't have a BIOS. Which means that if you have dirty contacts or an iffy cartridge slot, a game failing to start doesn't just mean a blank screen. It means a loud continuous beep. Damnit, TI |

♥13704 ✿4711 ★53 Posted by DarkWitchClaire Purple is a color and it's not even debatable; color is defined by human perception and does not need to strictly map to photon frequencies Also 1990 is part of "the 90's", the fact that there's no year zero is irrelevant, I guess it's not part of the 190th decade but nobody counts decades like that |

Since I'm aware you compose music on occasion, did you learn it by just kinda jumping in and making whatever, or did you study things like music theory, scales and things of that nature more extensively? ____________________ Giant Paratroopa Affected by 'Wooster Syndrome' ++++!! ♥13705 ✿4711 ★53 Posted by AtomicAstro I started by jumping in and making whatever, which is pretty apparent from my earliest songs, lol I've watched some youtube videos on music theory but nothing has really clicked that well so I'm not sure what ones to recommend... |
