Well, in that case porting from Famicom Disk System to NES is still work. :P (Though I guess they still had to do that for DDP/SMB2... shut up!)

Super Mario Bros 2 wasn't too hard. It was just too similar to the previous game to be exposed to non-Japanese market.

The thing about Capcom was... They actually decreased the difficulty in Mega Man for the most part in the first six games as they went along. At least that's my take on it... Probably because I grew up with Mega Man IV and VI, and never really played the others until recently.

EDIT: Clarified and fixed a typo.

Fun Fact: MM2's Difficult level was the only difficulty level available to Japanese players. The Normal difficulty was an addition to the American version.

Oh, I'd agree with that the later NES Megaman games were easier, I was more making a lame "releasing similar-looking games in a row" thing. (Though at least Megaman games had more new level graphics and new bosses)

And that's why they can't beat Airman.

I think Mega Man started going downhill after a while, moreso now because I'm familiar with the canon... The robots were originally "designed to help humans," which was a great concept... But by the time IV came out, they seemed to have lost sight of that. Hell, Skull Man was designed by Wily specifically to destroy Mega.

You could also describe it as the mental breakdown of Dr. Wily. :P

I never thought about it like that. Excellent point.

I started watching the end of it because people were mocking it on Twitter and IRC. But that meant mostly what I saw was the Call of Duty trailer... :P (Which, er, is not a game that interests me, and the trailer didn't change that)

Well, given that the only reason I started watching it was because I heard it was bad... :P

D'ya think Treltrel is just finding places to plonk posts rather than ask questions as per thread concept?

I didn't realize it was so easy to explode your mind, I'll have to be more careful in the future...
