Some people are good at remembering things.. others.. not.

I was inspired to make this poll after trying to post in the "what did you eat" thread.. and realising, I can't recall what I ate today. :@

I voted "Good enough to remember most things".

My memory isn't perfect but it is impeccable when it comes to remembering certain things.

My memory is really quite horrific. >_> Sometimes I'm lucky I can remember my own name.

That's.. pretty bad. Is that why you use it as your board username? X-P

I tend to only remember important things.. mostly. Sometimes I end up forgetting important things. :x

I can remember things, but sometimes, things like keys, wallets, and cell phones elude me at the most inopportune times. I have memories from when I was a toddler.

You certainly beat me. I have some very hazy memories which are pretty much fragments of what I can remember. If I picture the scene in my head, a lot of the room consists of blotches of emptyness. :|

Although, an interesting side effect is the fact I can visualise a table top just floating 'cause I don't remember anything else about it.

My memory is very hazy. I can remember common facts and such very well, but past things are pretty much forgotten by now.

I shall share an anecdote that is relevant to the topic at hand!

I was hanging out with my brother, just chilling and listening to music, and he played the song "Hit 'em Up" by the late, great Tupac Shakur. He said he always thinks of me when he hears the song, because I had allegedly told him to play it once some short time before that, and had quoted a line from the song.
I didn't remember ever hearing it before in my life.

So, yeah, my memory is great.

My memory isn't AWFUL but it's pretty damn bad. With names and dates specifically, but that's everyone. People constantly gotta remind me about what I planned to do that day.

Mine is alright. I mean, if you asked me what I was doing yesterday at this time, I'd remember. However, before that, unless it's important it's forgotten. It's partly because of sleep deprivation and resulting headaches.

I remember numbers almost eidetically, so that's an exception.

The more awkward moments of mine happen when recalling names. I can know someone for years and still struggle to actually spew out their name. This lead me to invent all sorts of ways to get around those moments without anyone realizing the true cause. It was often the worst with a few teachers. There were countless times where I had to whisper to a friend--who usually sat beside me--and ask him what the teacher's name was. This never happens with people close to me, but I still am annoyed with it. On the other hand, I'm relatively good at visualizing people... It's just those blasted names!

EDIT: ...The fuck? I already posted this exact same post in this thread. I guess that tells you how randomly shitty my memory is.

Haha.. that's certainly some poor memory.

Even I'd recall doing that post to a degree.

I have this really badass flywheel scrollwheel. I fling it hard enough and I'm at the bottom of the page before I can even blink.

I can't see that to be possible. You must be lying.
