Since we haven't covered E3 too much on this forums, I was wondering what thoughts of the group are on this year's E3? I'm looking forward to the New mario titles of course, but the "Last of US" demo I found really impressive.

What did you guys/gals think?

New Super Mario Bros. 2, I'm curious to see what a 2D sidescroller on the 3DS will be like. Also, once the device is hacked, NSMB2 may be a nice game to hack and make custom levels for.

This is also why I'm curious to see how the Wii U will be. New console, new games, new gameplay, new hacks, new homebrew :P

The WiiU looks nice.. just what's it gonna cost this time for Nintendo's hardware?

But otherwise, I must say.. Ubisoft grabbed me one with Watch Dogs.

Not gonna count in Assassin's Creed 3, 'cause I kinda had that preordered before E3. <_<

Pikmin 3 and Luigi's mansion dark moon are the two titles I'm the most excited about.

I was really psyched for paper mario on the 3DS... but with news of them doing away with the EXP points and changed up the battle system quite a bit I'm not sure if I'm interested anymore TBH. I'm going to look into more details, but right now it seems to lack some of the things that made TTYD (and the original) such a good game.

The title of NSMB2 bothers me because it's technically not the second in the series, NSMB Wii is. That, and I'm kinda disappointed by how uninspired the naming for the sequels in the whole sub-series is. Hell, the fact that it's the third in the series even lends itself to the uninspired title-by-platform shit Nintendo had done since N64, or more importantly to the aforementioned NSMB Wii and the upcoming NSMB U.

GodDAMN it, Nintendo, you make it hard for me to continue to love the things you're doing.

As for what I'm looking forward to... I would have to say the Wii U hardware, but I don't foresee me getting it until well into its life cycle, when it has more to offer than its over-saturated-with-sequels launch lineup.

The newest simcity which looks really cool even if I'm vary about the DRM. More worried about if the game is still available in ten years than the online requirement really.

I can see myself buying Pikmin 3, assuming it's a launch title. If it isn't... well I might wait. It's funny how much flack Nintendoland have gotten though, cause it's obviously a minigame collection for users to get used to the control scheme, similar to the wii sports for Wii.

The sticker system right? I'm going to wait and see on it. It will be odd without the core RPG elements that made it what it was.

@Ailure: Ick. yeah that bugs me too. I don't like my single player game being stopped because I get a small net fluctuation. (Plus I am very against DRM in general) We'll see

Doesn't really matter to me what the new Mario game is called.. as long as it's fun, it's cool. It's based on Mario 3 (and capitalism due to the coin mechanic) so that already has huge boon in my eyes. (not the capitalism part)

Addm: Wii U Starcraft II?

That yes, but there is more. Partners where shown in early alpha screens, one which was even a chain chomp. But now at this years E3 partners where nowhere to be found.

But yes, the stickers things irks me a lot for battles. I'm not saying it can't be a good game, but I don't think it will be anything like the other paper mario games in therms of gameplay when they make such radical changes.

DRM kinda sucks in general. Especially the net-enforced ones.

Indeed. Such things can be taken as a gimick to some people.. but others might actually enjoy it as a full.
