Ive been visiting some old games these days:
Rayman 1; Rayman M; Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 1; Rainbow Islands; Sonic Adventure DX -Played those on my Windows Millenium Edition desktop.. On console Ive been continuing at: Alan Wake -at a higher difficulty level; Resident Evil 5 -finaly progressing..; Need For Speed Hot Pursuit (3); Stoked: Big Air Edition; God Of War III -finished game.; played one or two sidequests at Ace Combat 6.. Earlier I bought more titles: I never played a game from The Elder Scrolls serie. I wanted to experience it, so some time ago I would either buy the ''Oblivion'' episode, or buy the Skyrim episode secondhand.. I noticed Oblivion could be bought as one game inside a twopack, together with Bioshock. Since I could have purchased Bioshock earlier, it seemed a good idea to buy the twopack, but the day I was about to buy an Elder Scrolls title, I found Skyrim for sale, second hand. Ive seen great screens from Skyrim, so I decided to buy that one.. Titles I also purchased are: TRON: Evolution; Bakugan: Defenders of the Core; Heavy Rain. -adviced by friend Just Cause 2 - newest purchased game so far. -almost forget, I played sidequests at PkMn Black, PkMn White, and PkMn Pearl, for a short while.. |

Being bored today, I decided to fuck around on the Wii today.
I finally played River City Ransom, but the password for the glitch "Nothing" item and breezed through the game since Nothing not only raises nearly all of your stats (except Weapon and Will Power) and acts as a full Stamina restore, it also never goes away, so it can be exploited for limitless healing. I only needed about $350 for items (two Indian Lore books [for Will Power], two Excaliburs [for Weapon damage], Stone Fists, Dragon Feet, and Grand Slam). I went through the whole game, including grinding the money on Benny and Clyde and sitting on the end screen for ten minutes while I derped around, in an hour thirty five according to my Wii memo. I also booted into Ocarina of Time, watched the opening cutscenes, remembered I hate Ocarina of Time, and played Link to the Past. Made it to Dark World. |

I love ocarina of time, I actually played it's 3DS port recently and is loving it. Almost finished 100% too, just have spirit temple and a couple of golden skulltulas left.
LTTP was 20 years ago and OOT was 14 years ago btw. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org, YouTube

Link to the Past and Majora's Mask are my two favorites. I love Link to the Past for its familiarity and faith to the original bird's eye perspective. That, and it's one of those games I can play from beginning to end with 100% completion without needing to look anything up, and do it within a few hours.
I love Majora's Mask for its darker tone and story. It took the series in an interesting direction. I also like how mechanically independent it is by throwing Link into a Groundhog's Day loop from hell, making him relive the same weekend infinitely to save the world from true impending doom. Let's not forget that it's also the first game in the series to not only never mention Ganon, but also not even copy a battle pattern from Ganon, because let's face it, Link's Awakening stole from LttP's Ganon during its final Nightmare. |

I bought SMRPG for Virtual Console soon after getting my Wii, and I've been subconsciously putting off playing it. I have no idea why, either... It's not like games like Disgaea that fanboy friends of mine gushed so much about it that it disgusted me into losing desire to play.
I don't get it. |

Well, I rounded out Link to the Past this morning, since I had been taking my time playing it this time around.
Checking my stats at the end, I could see where I made my loads from the RAM save since the original SNES version counted file loads as deaths for some reason. It ranked me at a two-death run for loading in Hyrule Castle and East Palace, when in actuality, it was actually a load at my house (pre-leaving to save Zelda) and the Sanctuary (After saving Zelda), but it counted them as those two dungeons because that's where I was headed when those file loads happened. I'm glad the virtual console does a one-shot save state if you leave the game from the Home menu back to the Wii menu, because I would have had to have a third load at Misery Mire when I picked up. As for the run itself, it was another otherwise perfect run. I only used two faeries from bottles. One against Blind in Thieves' Town, and one in Turtle Rock during the dark Somaria platform ride. I also forgot which exit I had to use to port back to Light World to get the final heart piece, so after I beat Trinexx, I had to re-enter Turtle Rock to finish the twentieth heart container. I also decided to return to Kirby: Crystal Shards. I made it up to 3-3 today. I only made it that far since I started getting frustrated by needing specific ability combos to break walls and shit... In order to get the third shard on 3-3, I appear to need either Cutter+Fire or Cutter+Rock, it's hard to tell whether the dark part was red or brown with the water effect discoloring it. I'm going to assume it wants Cutter+Fire, because Cutter+Rock gives the classic Stone ability, which won't work to break a wall. I dunno, I'll experiment next sitting. |

Majoras Mask have more time manipulation than the previous game Ocarina of time which I find funny. Hell in Ocarina of time there isn't nearly as much back and forth as in LTTP. You only need to go back to child link twice in the whole game (or only once if you skip using lense of truth in the desert... which is possible but can be a pain in the ass).
People whine about the time limit in Majoras Mask, seemingly unaware of that you can slow down time (enough for it to be a non-factor IMO). ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org, YouTube

I'm going through Mass Effect 3 again, this time on the PC. I missed a whole lot of story last time because when I played it on X360 I ended up with corrupt ME1 and ME2 saves. So, I'm editing some of the choices made in the config files to get them where I had them before.
Also Minecraft. |

Playing Maverick Hunter X in Vile mode on normal difficulty since Vile is such a pain in the ass to control. I've tried on Hard, and I can't even beat the deliberate warmup boss (Chill Penguin).
On Normal; I've beaten Flame Mammoth, Chill Penguin, Spark Mandrill, Armored Armadillo, Launch Octopus, and Boomerang Kuwanger. I think it's interesting how whenever you beat one of the Maverick bosses, you don't just get one weapon that's available a la every other Mega Man game (or as X in the same game), but instead you get between two and six upgrades to your weaponry. Your weapons are: Arm (in three variations; Vulcan gun, missile launcher, or rocket fist), shoulder cannon (either blast cannon or blade), and leg blaster (comes in napalm, energy, or a flamethrower variant). You can only have one of each weapon type equipped at a time, and they are chosen from the stage select screen before beginning each mission. Each weapon pools from a point reserve that grows as you clear stages. The boss order seems to follow the same order as it does during gameplay as X, complete with the shift to Flame Mammoth as the recommended starting point. It's usually a good idea to equip yourself with the next boss's weakness, even if the weapon is seemingly worthless on the stage. An example of this is the flamethrowers you get for beating Mammoth. They're almost worthless on the stage, but holy shit do they fuck Chill's Christmas. I will say one thing... the fact that Vile doesn't get a dash ability is a major downer, not to mention a bit misleading since that fucker clearly has a dash during his boss encounter. Hopefully, it's one of my leg upgrades I haven't looked at yet, although it's a bit late since I'm nearing the end of the fucking game! |

i finished twilight princess, and couldn't finish the SMB3 rom hack because the emulator corrupted my saves.
I think I will go back to fortune summoners. |
