You would have a hard time finding it used. It's a semi-obscure word, used a lot in computers and electronics. Means overload. So most of the example to site having to do with electric overloads.

I choose it as my Mario hack well fit the name. :)

Last view: 4493 days 		It is pronounced the same as it is spelled, really. The "a" sounds short, the same as in "car". "fu" is rather difficult for non-Japanese to pronounce properly (according to my wife)... I'm not certain how to describe its sound, I just know how to say it. :(

And of course, the kanji, romaji and meaning Emuz posted is 100% accurate.


EDIT: Thanks Gywall. It's 630am, and I've been up for all of 5 mins...apparently my fingers are moving faster than my brain atm. >.<

According to Jim Breen's WWWJDIC pronounciation samples, it's like Ryudo said, with a rapid "fu as in fuck", that apparently gets stress.

I pronounce it with a "foo" though. Two outta three? Not half bad.

I pronounce it as Kawa does. Kah(as in car)-foo-kuh. I just pronounce things as they're spelled naturally though :P Which is why I pronounced Acmlm Ack-mulm.

I always said "Ack-mulm" too.

I remember people who spelled it out A-C-M-L-M would always hound on anyone who tries to pronounce it like a word, saying it's "impossible" and such <_< >_>

I always thought my mom's pronounciation of Acmlm was weird. "Ackmellackem".

Maybe she thought it was Acmlcm.

Acmlm is Ack-lum-lum I guess to me. I kinda feel it's more interesting to hear so many variants of the same name. :)

ふ／フ is kinda inbetween hu and fu..

I say it either "Ka-foo-ka" or more nihongo like.. (not perfectly though)
We had a discussion about Emuz on IRC.. we got some interesting responses on that one.. heh
