I bet you all heard of the concept for the Warp Drive. It apparently would totally work for faster than light speed travel, but unfortunately, it would require a metric fuckton of energy. I mean ALL the energy of Jupiter, that's a lot of energy.

But what if it's possible after all?

I love astronomy and I love the idea of space travel. If this comes out within my lifetime I will cream my pants.

Cool ^_^

I always wondered about the possibility of faster-than-light travel and other science-fiction technologies. Teleportation, space colonies, that sort of thing. It's cool that science is starting to examine such ideas.

Wasn't it Futurama that had that ship where the ship actually stood still yet the universe moves around it? Still, it'd be an interesting concept if we could explore other planets and solar systems by traveling faster than light :)

Love an Alcubierre drive, such a novel idea.
