I was trying to rip Madonna Immaculate Collection to my computer, and it kept getting stuck on track 16 "Justify My Love" in CDex... too bad, it's a pretty good CD too :(

I've also had a Jordin Sparks CD die after only three years, even being stored in normal conditions and not subject to large temperature changes... even trying it in my stereo would give "ERROR" and it wouldn't play...

Has anyone else ever had a similar experience with a music CD/tape or movie, or even a PC disc?

Taps, many times. I forgot what all I lost but I did record a few times on a tape recording some "talk show" me and my "good" step brother Micheal did together.

It was fun but I played it out too much. A shame I never had it backed up on my computer or something.
Oh and my tape player died and became "fuzzy". >_<

I've had CDs and DVDs break on me. One of them somehow developed a crack all the way along the radius of the CD.

Oh yeah, LOTS of times. Let's see....

First one I can think of is when my brother stepped on and broke my Starcraft Brood War CD.

Second I can think of is my 10cc Alive album. It's their live album, obviously, and it's pretty damn good. But it's so old and so used that it skips a LOT now.

And if we're talkin' VHS tapes, oh dear LORD! Those things were so flimsy I fear touching them. First VHS tape I ever saw destroyed was in our really old player, like our first one, and it ripped the shit outta Barney the Dinosaur. More recently, like four years ago, I tried to watch Sonic the Hedgehog on my old VHS player and it ripped THAT up, and proceeded to break the DVD player that it was connected to. I hate and love VHS players at the same time and I really wished that I had a VHS player still D:

I've had tapes fail on me. There was one CD that is near fail due to laser rot. It's a really old CD from the mid '80s and they didn't do as good a job at reliability.

For some reason I keep hearing weird things from a few of my MP3 files playing on my phone's Bluetooth. Not sure if it is the phone or Bluetooth or even the file. I think it might be the file though.

Can't imagine how since it has always been in good condition but eh. All things wear away at some point I suppose.
