This is probably way past the new year for most of you reading this (it is for me, and even moreso for Europe types I suppose), but too bad!  2013! The world survived 2012, but will thirteen prove an unlucky number? (Probably)
Anyway, I had a nice new year, my roommate and I held (are holding) a small party of some friends, one of whom tried to beat SMB2j on my Twin Famicom and in the end had to give up after spending over an hour on world 8. |

Happy New Year! I am just happy I seemed to survive this semester. Next one should be more challenging but until then, I shall enjoy the naps in the morning and some of my beer.

Oh right.. It's 2013. I tend to completely defy the "Thirteen is Unlucky" ruling, by actually being quite lucky with the number.

I was doing a marathon run of Super Princess Peach on my DS Lite, in order to complete the second quest (with the puzzle pieces, etc.), I managed to finish Bowser with like 6 minutes until the New Year 
(Of course, I still need to get those last few enemies that are missing in the glossary, including Starfy...) "Miracles happen, when you believe..."

SMB2J eh? My favorite level was D-4. (on the FDS version if you don't warp you unlock the A-D worlds, but you got them automatically after 8-4 in SMAS) Why? I loved the oddball jumps you had to make to solve the puzzle. I also loved World 9, since it was a world with few enemies, odd swimming levels, and Bowser in 9-3. 9-4 basically was a swimming level that had "アリガトウ" (thank you) in used blocks.
