There's probably a whole bunch of reasons people stopped. Out of questions for now is one possibility.

I think I'll just start going around to other people's threads and answering questions for them.

Oh, but what if the people asking wanted the answer specifically from the person whose thread it is?

I don't think that'd help them get the answer they were expecting.
