From what I can tell, SOPA is currently shelved, but will be brought back up in February without the DNS provisions.


Looking at it again.. almost makes me think the US law is trying to evolve into world law. :/

The use of the term "naughty" here bothers me. Also, Nicole is definetely right and we need to get you into a Highschool class of Economics. NONETHELESS

I had found an assholish way to get around Wikipedia's blackout, but that was actually only an accident. I'm using a Firefox add-on that disables scripts on sites unless I agree to let scripts play. I hadn't for Wikipedia, so NO BLACKOUT FOR ME :D

The SOPA/PIPA pages weren't blacked out anyhow. Otherwise, disabling javascript in your browser (if you're given the option) works wonders.

It seems a lot of the backers are dropping out. It's nice to see a protest actually accomplish something. Let's hope they remember this when they repush the bill.
