Definitely spending too much on games... Just put my TV on layaway and picked up Alice: Madness Returns at K-Mart today. Spent $16-ish after tax on the game. To be fair, I was expecting $21 because it was marked as $20 on the game.
Went to X-Change and traded in my unneeded Wii discs, got $53 for them, and picked up Saint's Row 3, The Jak & Daxter Collection, and The Sly Cooper Collection. I still wound up paying $32. So... Between Steam, GOG, and my PS3, I have bought fourteen games. Out of pocket expense: $100. Actual value of the games: ~$200-300. Overspending, but making out like a goddamn bandit. EDIT: I actually did up the math on how much I spent. $100.07, and that's not including the $53 and change I got for trading my six Wii discs. |

Lately I've been buying stuff for my house. Last week, I had my contractor exposed the hard wood in the dining room, put down an actual suitable floor in the kitchen (not indoor-fucking-outdoor carpet), and replace the missing kitchen to basement door. (all a distraction for the stuff related to my grandmother.. plus I've been working a lot harder at work lately)

Well, I'm without my laptop again. This time, I broke the screen.
I went looking for a replacement and found one that's the same size and resolution. The site says it's for my model (Toshiba L750D), but I need to confirm my connector pin out before I place my order. I hate lacking the tools to check. |

Seems that I'm not too blessed when it comes to sunglasses. I've had a couple of pairs that shattered.. or at least it's the frame that shattered.
Seems plastic sunglasses aren't as great as they used to be.. The world could always use more heroes! |

Well, I squared away with everything today since I got paid... Or so I thought.
I paid mom back for my monitor (which is now here and installed), reupped my phone, got Ni No Kuni from Walmart (they wanted $40 as opposed to everyone else wanting $60, and my copy was their last), replaced my phone adapter since I also broke that on Monday, returned my second pair of ruined-out-of-the-box boots to Walmart and bought a new pair at K-Mart, got a 12 foot HDMI cable (on clearance for $18, as opposed to full price of $60), paid on my TV layaway... Which is where I run into my problem... K-Mart's layaway system is automated and requires a minimum payment... in my case was $49.13. I thought I could get away with paying $20.50 again, only to look at my receipt tonight to see that my next payment is due tomorrow for $28.63. This sucks. |

I just checked Playstation Store. Battle Royale and the games that the starring characters are from that have PS3 games are all on sale for 50% off for subscribers. I'm flat fucking broke and six of the games I want are sitting at seven dollars a piece. What I wouldn't give for fifty bucks.

So my watch battery decided to die overnight.
Getting the back case off, not too hard. Replacing the battery, trivial.. Getting the case back on? Insanely hard. Turns out, you need a proper press to put it in. Visited a local Jewellery store to see about getting the case put on. Turns out, they would do it for free. Gave them some money for their charity fund raising though. The world could always use more heroes! |
