Since, the way I understand it, we're doing a full run (no warps, etc) do we get extra points for doing every level, or is it strictly the first to Peach's room in 8-Castle? |

Plenty of NES games did. I seem to recall SMB3 did at times, but nothing major (basically easy to miss lag). I think some ROM hacks of SMB3 would be guilty of introducing lag due to the complexity some of them like to do.

I can't help but get the feeling I would do poorly in a straight up speed run competition, since I've conditioned myself to do every single level every time I play SMB3, and my mind doesn't even acknowledge that there are skipable levels. |

The Post Well, it's not exactly about winning, is it? Not for me, at least. I'm in it for the fun of it. And I've conditioned myself to get the two warp whistles in World 1 and warp straight to world 8 with them. I'd be willing to do the game without warps, though. =p |

Welp, since my schedule is so inconsitant I doubt I will be able to attend the first round(s) in anything other than in spirit/observation. That said we should try to do a test round this weekend.
