So I just read an article saying that the average human eye can't tell the difference between 720p and 1080p resolutions on screens smaller than fifty inches.

I'm inclined to agree that you can't see a difference with, say, a movie... But fuck can you tell the difference with text on screen.

I have a 32 inch TV that's sitting about six feet away from where I'm sitting, and let me tell you, I can see a HUGE difference between my secondary monitor resolution of 1920x1080 and 1366x768. The difference, of course, being that I can fucking read the text on the TV!

I've come to the decision of, as of right now, fuck 1080p. I don't need it.

I'm 5'9 and would love to be 125! Or maybe 150, cause my body frame might look awkward if I ended up being 125.

The questions you need to ask yourself about being underweight are:

1. Do you feel healthy?
2. Do you feel sluggish or lazy at times?
3. Do you eat enough proteins, fruits, vegs?

If you feel great and not weak, then you're fine. People bitch about being under and overweight that they forget that maybe the body is fine with it. I'm considered overweight and I don't like it and would love to lose at least ten more pounds. But I ride my bike to work everyday, I use the stairs, I play DDR. So I am active and my weight has never stopped me from doing stuff.

That's another issue with losing weight. Your body/bone frame might not allow you to lose as much weight as you'd like. That can also be inheritable by genes.

Well as for being healthy, it's not like I'm getting seriously sick - or at least, nothing that I'd be able to link to the weight. I get frequent stomach pain but I attribute that to my terrible gut flora; I've had this since I can remember.

I'm not really that energetic though. All is fine when the day begins, but around the time the afternoon comes up I get more and more tired to the point where I just want to sleep. Sometimes it's hardly noticable but there are days where I can hardly keep my eyes open by 3 PM. That also kind of explains my (lack of a) sleep schedule.

I wouldn't consider my nutrition bad per se. Protein's not a problem since meat comes up often, and usually there's some kind of vegetables alongside lunch. As for fruits, well, occasionally. The real problem is that nowadays I get full really quickly, so I can't eat much more than the three meals over the day (if even that, sometimes I don't even manage that). I know that's kind of a problem, but I don't have an idea what to do.

If you get full easily, but want to get more food into your system, try fruit smoothies.

There are a lot of factors that contribute to metabolism and body weight. I've been hearing a whole lot of things about "gut flora", the ecosystem of bacteria living inside your intestines and stomach. Most are related to digestion, but there is increasing evidence that gut flora affects the way you think and how your body's metabolism behaves. Lactobacillus or bifidobacteria are two of these. Eat foods that contain "live cultures" such as PLAIN yogurt. Of course, there are also foods that taste much better, such as Miso Soup, Pickles, Dark Chocolate, and Sauerkraut that contain lots of protein and probiotics that can help with the health of your gut flora. It's a relatively new area of medicine, and more is being discovered all the time.

Actually, yeah.

It seems to be running on an improved, yet still slightly-gimped, Opera that they used in the DSi and 3DS. The keyboard is nice on it since it uses the Wuupad touchscreen, which in my book, is a hell of a lot easier to type on than the PS3's onscreen keyboard. Too bad I can't sync my Wuupad to the PS3.

Note about this mood avatar: It's from a Wind Waker parody video that uses Link's grunts of protest when Tetra's pirates load him into the catapult to make a song.

That would be fun. Now if one could not directly post from the famicom, maybe a serial style connection with a lynx browser? That's how a lot of people to it on an Apple II with a serial cable...

It seems conceivably possible... (if also conceivably slow as fuck) the custom hardware that would be required is a bit outside my skillset though. :P

I'm pretty short on power sockets in this room. So the charger and Wii U are plugged opposite ends of the room.

Are you able to use a surge protector strip, or is your wiring older and can't take the additional draw (Older houses can have that issue.)

I'm pretty sure there's pirate equipment to do so- IIRC they're just based on a pre-existing floppy disk standard anyway. (And even the FDS itself can write to them)

It's more of locations being awkward to reach.
