So since nobody is going to answer my question, let's talk about XB1/PS4. Are any of you getting any of them? If so, what games?
I'm going for the XB1 at launch and getting Forza 5, and AC4. Preordered Titanfall too, but not sure when that comes out. Also preordered Destiny for the beta test and secured my spot on the beta. |

I'm probably gonna get the PS4 since, like I said in the gaming thread, Microsoft has really pissed me off with everything the XBone stands for.
As far as games go, the only ones I'm really looking forward to so far are inFamous: Second Son and Knack. That said, I'm not exactly willing to drop $500 on release day (console, a game, extra accessories) to have so few games I care about on the system. Not to mention, I just bought my Wii U and I need to focus on building a library for it first. Hell, I need to knock down my backlog quite a bit, but let's face it, that's not gonna fucking happen, either. EDIT: Forgot to mention that another reason for my hate on Microsoft is that it has come to light that they are, in fact, planning to gather unsolicited data from the Kinect and sell it to advertisers. What's that about respecting our privacy, Microsoft? Oh, you're not gonna do it after all? Fuck off! |

Indeed. Actually the new horde battles also look interesting. I did watch the Pokemon Red and Green anime special, and I really liked it. I do like the mega Charizard design from Y (the black color variant).

The horde battles are a bit underwhelming, if you ask me. Granted, the fact that the levels are cut in half is to prevent you from getting totally ass rushed, but the exp gain suffers from it.
So far, I've encountered hordes of Scraggy, Hoppip, Nosepass, and Yanma. |

Well, I just ran into a horde of Mime Jr in Reflection Cave... That battle was annoying if only because it took eight turns because they confused Beatrix.
Five level 11 Mime Jrs against a level 30 Gardevoir isn't much of a challenge. EDIT: Just bumped into Tierno, and he told me that Flash now cuts down your encounter rate. Dafuq? |

On top of that, you see a Slowbro, so you don't think much of it... But then you realize they're level 100, you start to think they actually CAN fuck you up. And there's FIVE of them. |
