Trivia? Here goes.

The average distance from the Earth to the Sun is about 150 million kilometers. Because it's an elliptical orbit, the actual distance ranges from some 152 million kilometers to 147, at the third of July and the third of January respectively. These are also known as the aphelion and perihelion.

I actually was going to say something about the distance of the earth from the sun, but in /miles/ since I don't know the kilometer distance like I should. I hate this archaic measurement system the US insists on using for some reason.

Cynthia has $m2k and $k2m if you need it and don't have any handy-dandy browser extensions or something. According to her, the average is... 93205650 miles? Whatever.

Trivia: cartoon shows are produced in a pipeline fashion. This is obvious. So is MLP:FiM, but the less obvious aspect is that MLP:FiM has a steeper pipeline -- they're juggling twice as many episodes at a time as most other shows, letting them finish twice as many in the same timespan.

I can also do meters to and from inches.

Mike Oldfield's "Amarok" contains a morse message at 48:05 in. It decodes to "Fuck off RB", referring to Richard Branson.

Andrew Hussie has a Hella Jeff tattoo. Unfortunately, it does not have an aura of shitty JPEG compression artifacts.

Ah, that one. Love it.

The first C++ compiler was not. It was a preprocessor that turned C++ code into C. This has little to nothing to do with how Windows 95 has C++ objects (such as IShellFolder) in the API while it's actually written in plain C.

The right combination of sine waves, as graphed on a Texas Instruments, will produce a repeating "smiley face" pattern.

I believe (but am probably misremembering) that the correct combination is 0.1k sin(x) where k is an integer from 1 to 10. Superimpose the ten graphs and for best results, graph simultaneously.

Windows 3.1 has some disabled code that did some checks to prevent it from running on alternate DOS systems like DR-DOS, to force customers to buy MS-DOS. Microsoft got in a lot of trouble when that was discovered.

ON THE WINDOWS TOPIC.

Typing "volcano" into a pre-XP version of the 3D Text screensaver would, instead, display at random... names of volcanoes!

Windows operating systems were rife with easter eggs until someone decided they had to stop putting "undocumented features" into their software.

Honestly, now, when was the last time you saw documentation for half of the things Windows comes with?

Another Windows one:

If you use registry policies to disable all tabs of Display Settings and then open that applet, you'll get a rather glitched window.

Only because the definition of chocolate is totally wrong.

It all derives from the goddamn cocoa/cacao/fuckingethiniccrapname bean.

Did you know, that if a pill could really double your penis size, you'd only have to pop 46.5 pills before your penis reached the edge of the solar system.

I'm pretty sure you'd die of blood loss after two or three.
