Ive actually known about this board for awhile because of rom hacking but just recently i got real interested in the history of acmlm and decided to register.

I've been a member of Kafuka since Day 1. I was a not-so-active member of the revamp crew for this code base. Unless something changes, I'm not going anywhere.

I'm one of those who'd be called Veterans nowadays. I've been around since the first (or was it the second?) incarnation of Acmlm's Board. Registered for the first time about 10 years ago.

I saw Ailure (another old member who rarely shows up) browse the forums and wondered what kinda place it was. He told me to register but I needed some time to think about it until I finally did it.

I had a hand in Kafuka's creation. If you're asking how I found the old Acmlm's Board, it was when I started dicking around with the idea of playing games on my old 486. I can't remember how that went, but eventually I got a better computer and finally was able to visit Acmlm's I kept reading about. It was glorious!

It better here than Board2 anyway, but I been around Acmlm Board since 2003 when I discovered ROM Hacking. I was like "Hacking NES games, what the hell is that?" I started making friends through AB because at the time I was working different hours of the week, so I didn't have a social life...

I didn't start posting until 2002, I think. Even then I posted very sparingly. I mostly lurked, so most don't remember me despite my own personal proximity to the community. I found the place in 2001, probably very close to when it started.

I well.. was a founding member of Acmlm's. I was talking to @Acmlm back when he had a wwwthreads board on overclocked.net. I started talking to him about ROM hacking stuff and we ended up talking a lot. When he started coding a board for fun he linked me to it. So that Xmas I was helping him test the board as he coded... threw out some ideas that became a part of the board as well. So I joined I1 about a minute after @Acmlm. The only one I can think of on this board that was from that initial userbase is @Shroomy. I've been in and out since.

I joined Acmlm's back in 2005. I stopped coming in 2009, around the same time I went to college, and am just now getting back into posting. It's hard to believe how long it's been since I first found Acmlm's.

I was in #kawa, and saw Kawa tell his bot Cynthia to join #kafuka. I went there out of curiosity, and found the board this way.

The first Acmlmboards I've been joining were Jul and Board2. I was searching for NSMB stuff, found videos of edited levels, and then Treeki's website which linked to both boards.

I wish I had been there in the Acmlm's Board times.

After I was nuked from Jul 2 years ago, someone linked me here. I didn't actually join for a few months, though.

As for Acmlm's itself, I found Acmlm's ROM Hack Domain in 2001 when looking for information on SMB1 level editors. Didn't join the board until 2002 though because of overprotective parents ("The Intarwebz are full of pedophiles!").
