Wednesday is a definite possibility for me, I'm off from Wednesday to Friday.
Friday doesn't work for me because I have to get sleep before going into work for Saturday morning (midnight to eight), and Saturday is bad because I work the same shift Sunday. Just figured I'd give my availability. |

What time would you suggest, Gywall? I would need to check my schedule as well. I'm off Wednesday and Friday. Thursday I get off work at 7:30 PM MST.
I also propose we find an acceptable form of proof for those who cannot stream. I think we could make a movie file with an emulator, render it, upload it to youtube, and post a link to download said movie file in the description of the video. Movie files would show rerecords, would it not? We should also use SRL's bot to keep time in case we need to check the bot's time against the movie length so we can tell if speedup/slowdowns are used. |

 Epele please do suggest other times. It's always hard going for a time that allows the most people to participate.
 KP that sounds like a good method. The only thing it wouldn't show is possibly a RTC or something to refer back to. However I don't see it as an issue. Now if the time slots for Saturday were available on a Sunday, Monday or Tuesday.. Then there's room for me to participate.
Also might be worth pointing me towards some recording program. Might also be slightly better to give more than a week's notice before the start after a decent time or set of times is decided upon. The world could always use more heroes! |

Just got myself a copy of the rom and fceux - which has a convenient "record avi" feature.

I use a PS3 controller, Wii Classic, and a SNES knock off (which sucks so I really don't anymore) PS3 controller actually works the best for me at this point. That raises an interesting point, Giga. If we are not streaming, we dont necessarily have to have everyone compete at the same time. We could just have a set deadline for those who want to compete. To submit a playthrough, I imagine we could just have everyone submit their movie file along with a rendered video (or YouTube link) before the deadline in a PM to the host. After the deadline, we could post the results after a short review period. I bet we could even render all of the videos playing together when everything is done! |

I agree. I think would be the most fun to stream live!
I did a test run cold. I got to 2-4/2-5 and died at 12:30.1 I did however get past 1-1 in 5:27.2 I just need to practice using the PS3 controller and the NES version of the game. Of course it's fun for those who /can/ stream to stream live. But really, what difference does it make for those who can't? (I guess the only one being that a user can race a /bunch/ of times and only submit their best run. That puts those who stream on unequal grounds, I suppose.) |
