Scattering of photons by the atmosphere depends on the frequency of the photon. Therefore, the broad spectrum from the sun scatters in the atmosphere differently based on color, and what reaches our eyesight is predominately blue.

It does have a handle on the outside; my only lock is a deadbolt. But even the lock wouldn't expose a keyhole to the inside...

Put them in the slot, turn the key, walk in. Distracted by a note my building manager had shoved under the door, apparently I forgot the last step of "take keys with you into apartment"
