I can't do either of those things.

I find it rather annoying when some people whistle, really. Something about the sound just feels like nails on a chalkboard to my ears. Not every whistler has this effect on me, but a lot do.

It depends on the person doing it for me.

Some people can really scrape a horrific note, but other might just scrape without hitting that note.

Chalkboards in general bother me a lot- I get bothered by chalk on chalkboards, let alone nails :P A lot of physics professors claim to much prefer chalkboards, too... (but this being 2013, they usually have to settle for far-less-noisy whiteboards)

My workplace has chalkboards. I don't mind them, although I do prefer whiteboards.

All the physics professors complain about having to use whiteboards rather than chalkboards- but the it seems like we're the only department that still uses boards at all :P

Everything is digital now (mostly). It will be a matter of time when schools won't need chalk or whiteboards anymore.

Whiteboards are easier to accidentally smudge out things than chalk boards as far as I remember anyway.

Chalk has a bit of resistance, those whiteboard pens get erased if even a feather touches it.

Those digital boards are awful though. Oftentimes the pen fails to write or stutters. Everyone in our school complains about them.
