Speaking of chats, what'd you think about a chatbox like the one that VC-Forums has?

I don't know how it was coded but it has several different rooms and you can also create private chatrooms with other people. You can also close it and make it pop down with the help of a button. It sits just below the links at the top of the main page there.

To be honest, I bugged Gywall long enough until she gave in and made me a layout. I suggested something watery/icy and she even warned me that "it would be boring", but eh.

They look similar enough that they emphasize our relationship and that's always cool.

There's the Java IRC client, which admittedly isn't the best, but better than nothing, and you can just use it with your browser.

Or you could be like Gywall and use Trillian for all your instant messaging needs. <_<

Java is usually a virus magnet and the only software that that needs it (which I use) is Vuze (formerly Azureus). And I kinda use Steam for my IM needs these days.

Besides, I'd prefer to be logged in to a chatbox/client when I log in to a forum. Without the need of some extra add-on.

Am I lazy or just disregarding (couldn't find a better word) an old and obviously obsolete chat client?
