Mary and I had stopped at a clothing store in Cambridge after her work, that for some reason was selling a lot of Japanese clothes. I kept looking for something to buy but everything was either too small or I didn't like the style, while Mary was very impatient and wanted to leave. Eventually I found this outfit set that they were selling that I liked a lot and wasn't too expensive, but when I went to buy it the people at the counter handed me a long packet with many pages of questions about history, America, etc., which I had to answer correctly to have the outfit shipped to me (since they had sold out of my size). I started answering (and one dream-like Nicole thing, it was never consistent- I would look back at a prior page and it was entirely different than what I remembered), and Mary stopped being impatient, but I started being impatient- to the point where on the page about Hindu religions I gave up on the dream and woke up.

A prior dream featured me watching a Pokémon-Star Trek crossover where Khan conquered some mountain fortress filled with Charmander and Kirk had to find a way to remove him from power, but I don't remember most of the details.

I was at a cosplay restaurant for a friend's (or maybe my uncle's?) party. The conceit of the restaurant was that the waitresses dressed up the party-goers, and this party was themed after a game I hadn't played (nominally Dark Souls, but since I know nothing about that game IRL I doubt it was all that similar ) Anyway, they thought I should costume as some female character who was dead, so they spent the whole time discussing what the best way to make me look all bloody was (they eventually decided on "splashing wine") While this happened I was watching something on my cell-phone, ending up with some creepy child-coin bank hybrid expelling a coin then absorbing it through the slot, which appeared to be painful. Then my alarm went off

I had a dream where I was watching a movie about a haggard man who had an annoying wife and an obnoxious child, who goes to a magical mansion where they torment his wife and he moves in, but his kid is hurt badly due to playing on top of the elevator. Only sometimes I couldn't remember if I was watching it or was some character *in* the movie.
