Posted by KP9000 I suppose those with darker board theme choices would find it harsher. I've always used slightly brighter ones.. so it doesn't seem to bother me. :/ The colour scheme I use is defined mostly from the in-game colours. The world could always use more heroes! |

♥71 ✿5053 ★55 Well, my layout is also pretty bright, and I use one of the darker board schemes (Minus World)...
I guess I'm just less sensitive to brightness clashing, I don't see any issue with Gywall's layout. ![]() |

Posted by Nicole I'd say yours doesn't have as strong a brightness striking at the view as mine.. but I blame that upon my sidebar being matched up in terms of colour. :/ The world could always use more heroes! |

Yay, I finally have a layout.
Posted by Chuck Norris Code blocks and spoilers aren't being styled (yet?). Also, there was going to be an awesome cubic font to go with this layout, but this won't work on Firefox, which will just use the ugly default font instead. Probably the SOP kicking in because the font comes from a different domain than the board. So I just removed font-family rules so that it uses the same font as the rest of the board. Last, this layout probably breaks in IE, because it uses several CSS3 selectors and crap. Not like I give a shit though. It should be fine in every decent browser. ____________________ Kuribo64 - melonDS want some revolution in your coffee? |

Well, I'm afraid I preferred it without the custom font, MM. It just looks sloppy this way. Sorry. |

Agreed. It will just use the board's font until I find a font that looks cool and doesn't look all crooked at this size.
Also, linking fonts from outside of the board requires serving the font file with a specific header because of the SOP. This has to be done either with a .htaccess, provided the needed Apache module is installed, or with a PHP script, which seems to prevent caching of the font. In short it's not that easy. ____________________ Kuribo64 - melonDS want some revolution in your coffee? |

Or you can use the Ijah method and base64 the entire font in your CSS file ![]() |

I don't see any custom font.

I prefer defining a "prefered" font people might have, then a fallback option which is most likely browser-defined.
At least it keeps my css small.. ![]() The world could always use more heroes! |

♥124 ✿5053 ★55 The most I usually do is just declare things to be serif or sans-serif... it's limiting in the options I guess, but at least it's petty much guaranteed to work. ![]() |

♥128 ✿5053 ★55 Hm, so if I want to use comic sans in a future layout, I'll have to do one of those font uploading tricks. Good to know. |
