Yes, it's completely random and certain sprites are less likely to appear (I think it's a 0 to 99 scale... only a few are 99 rarity and there are plenty of 0 rarity sprites) HTH :)

I only have 13 sprites to go... ironically, all of them are rare ones I'm missing except the Poison Mushroom (which design is it :P SMB2J? SMAS? SMBDX?)

Fun fact: SMB2J's poison mushrooms used the same palette as blocks. So they were red and black in normal levels, blue underground, and grey in castles.

Wonder if some Japanese players thought each was its own power-"up" at first.

The Poison Mushroom sprite I have is SMB2J-style.

I actually caught Hitler. Wow.

Also, funny thing. I forgot to turn on Javascript so I couldn't catch it at first, and I thought I'd lose that opportunity forever. Well, being the clever girl I am, I enabled JS, closed the tab and used Opera's restore tab feature and tada, it worked. :P
