Or May the fourth be with you.

Do you have any memories about Star Wars? Doesn't have to be about the movies either.

And what about the new cast for episode seven? Do we even need an episode seven? And why change cannon after all these years?

I didn't know this was a thing until Grade 8. I never really cared about Star Wars. At all. I did like the Family Guy rendition that Seth McFarlene did though.

Well, the answer to everything is called money.

Star Wars has enough fans for a licence to print money. So yeah.

I remember the original trilogy. You know. The ones now known as Episode IV to VI.

The world could always use more heroes!

Back when I was more into movies, Star Wars was always my faves. Mostly the original trilogy.

I have my doubts about the Episode 7 thing...while it is nice to see the series returning, I read a lot of the Star Wars novels and apparently they're now pretending that those never happened. Retcons are so annoying.

Yeah, I'm personally more interested in the time between Episode III and IV... sucks to see the Expanded Universe no longer canon :( (when Disney bought Lucasfilm, I was skeptical about the future of SW and Indiana Jones :P what about the Lego sets? believe we have a few Lego fans here :D)

Right now I'm watching the original trilogy, then the prequel trilogy tomorrow and Tuesday :)

I'm not surprised they decanonized the Extended Universe, it would have limited quite a bit what they could do ("oh, we know that character will be fine, because he doesn't die until later"), after all.

Also, because I'm Nicole, I'm now watching Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan to celebrate. :P

How far into the "future" (i.e., past Episode 6) will Episode 7 be?

From what I hear, it'll be timed to roughly correspond with the actor's natural aging, so ~30 years I guess?

New movies might be about their kids, which, from what I was told, a great story in book form. How it will be translated to screen is another matter.

I love Knights of the Old Republic series. Great story and characters. And that twist, amazing!
