Well iron ions on their own are positively charged, so you could hardly bind hydrogen to them and get it to stick :P

Here's the rest:

Ferric acid is an element also known as H2Fe04. It forms definite salts that are common is chromates and sulfates. This fairly strong acid is not known in the free state. It is commonly used as a catalyst in organic synthesis.
