If they were used only for grouping messages, I'd be fine with hashtags. Obviously they aren't being used for that purpose--They're mostly used as descriptions, which is #annoyingtoreadasthewordsarealltogetherlikethis. And don't remind me of that terrible song named after them.

That particular track seemed to compile all the annoying quirks of society into one song. It just wouldn't be complete without having that hashtag, I guess.
And yeah, it has become a thing for song titles to have hashtags. It's kinda lazy and redundant. Why think of a unique title when you can just stick a hashtag in there? Thankfully most of them aren't all that popular. |
