Cheerilee-os need to be a thing that is real.

You want cereal shaped like pony?

I'm not sure what to think of.. that.. to be honest.

I think he means something like Urkel-O's but without the banana rings.

Since Cheerilee is pink and the strawberry rings in Urkel-O's are pink.

Shrug?

Golden Crisp is a nice cereal.

But it always makes your piss smell like Golden Crisp.
This.

It is a nasty cycle, because I am not one to get disgusted that my food-scented piss gets me hungry. This means when I piss a Golden Puffs smell, I will go and get myself a bowl of Golden Puffs.

Got woke up from a nap about an hour and a half ago, my buddy said he had a big emergency... The emergency? He reinstalled Windows, but didn't quite do it right... I look at it for fifteen minutes, and BOOM! I'm composing this post from his new Windows install.

EDIT: LOLTYPO

It's amazing how Microsoft try to make it easier and easier to install Windows.. yet people still fuck up and fail somehow.

Wanna know the sad part? He's as computer savvy as I am. :/

I guess I can excuse him since his girlfriend was being an impatient bitch about the whole process before I went over there. He can't use tired as an excuse since he woke me up from my nap to fix it.

From how it sounds, the pair of you might know different areas of a computer. Compared to my own friends who are pretty much as savvy as myself, I tend to know my way around internal components better than a fair few of them.. In turn, they do know software and similar better than I do.

You're pretty much right. I have the software know how, and he's the hardware guy.

He knows how to put them together, I know how to do the recon for drivers and other shit like that.

Installing Operating systems are relatively easy nowadays, although I still linux distros have the better installers (When Win XP was still the main OS I recall reviews for Ubuntu Linux pointing out it was easier to install than Windows).

As long you know your hardware, you're only a few clicks away from getting the right drivers in the worst case.

Installers are boring.
Best installer I have seen was from Lycoris Linux a few years ago, which made you play Solitaire during installation.
Looking at how little resources the non-3D version of SOL.EXE takes, Microsoft could easily do this for Windows.

You know, I should check if this is actually possible. At least during Windows XP installation, you can launch applications during setup, and I wonder if Solitaire would work.

I'd prefer spider solitaire.. or minesweeper.

I normally go eat during installing an OS normally..

Installing Operating systems are relatively easy nowadays.

I never said they were hard. There's just people who can't wait to use their new computer and restart it during the install.. Which has a tendency to make it impossible to install the bundled windows OS.

Although, a lot now come with the OS pre-installed and just first boot into a "first time setup" since people are too dumb to install the OS themselves.

Watching an OS install is actually quite fun.

I remember, for some reason, there was an installer of some sort that would let you play with a doodling program (that wasn't fully featured) while you were installing whatever the installer installed.

What was that? .-.

The worst thing is, Windows Setup actually runs on Windows, all the way back to 3.x, so you totally could do that -- copy sol.exe and cards.dll in the first, non-Windows phase so you can start it in the second.

Somebody oughta ask Raymond Chen about this.

Indeed, and in NT-based operating systems, all the way back to NT 3.1, the first thing Windows does is copying all the files to the hard drive.

This should totally be possible.

For some reason, I'm trying to puzzle out how to make a regex string that will match any URL, within a reasonable margin of error.

Why the hell am I doing this.
