After way too long, ABXD 3.0 has finally been released!
It includes what has probably been years of changes,lots of new features and also a new theme. Some of the major new features include lots and lots of code cleanup, a new mobile layout (and a system for making and switching between different layouts), multi-language support, improvements for plugins, and a lot more. It's been fixed since then.
There was also the part about the 'super SQL escaper' thing calling mysql_real_escape_string() and discarding the return value.
