This is the place to discuss new ideas regarding board themes for Kafuka. To make a new theme, I find the easiest way is to save a page from the board to your hard drive and all the necessary files (images, CSS files, etc) and change the referring links to local copies, which you would then edit.

Also, I would like to gather your thoughts on the new (and classic) themes included at board launch. Like them? Hate them? Why?

I actually would like to try to get one of Shroomy's old themes on here if he wouldn't mind. I ended up going back to Daily Cycle.. We should attempt to do another one of those soon.

I am also partial to the Acmlm's ROM Hack Domain one. So many memories!

There isn't an easy way to convert AB1 to AB2 either. KP actually did it by hand. maybe we could write a converter utility at some point?

Last view: 4115 days 		I think there should be a rule where layouts that don't scale with high resolutions or use fixed backgrounds should be changed/removed. For example, Acid is a theme that, in it's raw form, goes terrible with any high resolution because the images are large and the text is tiny. Snowy has a fixed background image and it just looks awful with it being in the corner and not even taking up half the screen. So one half has a "snowy" background while the other half is just grey.

I haven't check the other ones, but hopefully you get my point.

We'll look into it for sure. I've personally not look at every one of the Acmlm's Board II/board2 ones yet.

So.. If you check out the themes "Alternate" and "TwilightRO Classic" you'll find prebuild checkers :D

I ported my site's theme to this board, if it interests anyone. It's basically a green night theme with Acmlmboard style.

The background isn't much visible in that screenshot, though. A live demo of the theme is available on my blog where the background should be more visible.

I'm open to any criticism on it. I know it's not much more than a cheap recolor of a standard Acmlmboard theme, with a recolored version of a night background I took from FilterForge. I suck at being original.

Edit- oddities in the screenshot occured when saving the page. Also images are lacking here and there because Firefox decided to ignore them when saving the page >_<
