Okay everyone I need your feedback on which game making software I should get into to make my own game. The main reason I wanna make my own game is because I wanna get my cartoons more wide spread.

I seen some games that looked real legit with these making programs that were Mario clones, but I wanna do something original. Remember that I used to ROM Hack, and people liked the way I designed levels.

So please, lemme know which program I should invest in? ^_^

I remember back in the day, Multimedia Fusion, Click & Create and The Games Factory were popular choices for the Sonic community's fan games... MMF2 is probably the best bet, IMO with Game Maker a close second :) (I believe I still have an old copy of the latter around somewhere)

Well, I've only used Game Maker out of those. It's not bad.. but it sure still has some physics bugs if you're not careful.

I've only used Game Maker from that list, and I never did all that much with it.

I too, have only experienced Gamemaker. Back when 7.0 was out. I had a hard time using it but I hear it was good if you knew what you were doing. I don't use that stuff so I wouldn't know a thing..

Well, the feedback has it. I'll roll with Game Maker 8.1, I installed it a few days ago so I'll give it a whirl. ^_^
