Meh, if it wasn't for what's currently going on at Tasvideos, I could have said people would have been uninterested for newer "5 frames faster" runs, which some time ago most of them were like this.

I wonder if TASes are the reason ZSNES is still used... it's quite obsolete and doesn't even work very well on newer Windows :P (last update was what, 7 years ago?)
Save State Modification could be another reason. You know. For those people who just plain suck and decide to start their game with max stats.

I remember having to ditch MEKA for another Master System emulator, as it didn't work properly on Windows 2000 or XP :( (I wonder if most of ZSNES's issues with newer OSes are because of the 9x/NT differences? I remember going to 2000 and having trouble with some games in 2006)

I prefer SNES9x, which doesn't try to swallow the mouse pointer.

I'm usually on IRC or something when I'm playing games in the emulator, and I want to be able to switch tasks easily. It's the same reason I never play games fullscreen if there's an option.

Fun fact: I'm at the courthouse for jury duty right now on my laptop. Thing is big though, 17 inch and the battery doesn't hold a charge for long so I had to make sure to sit next to a plug.

I've been summoned three time already. The lady behind was here for the first time and she was about twice my age. I'm assuming she's from the islands and came over.

I've been selected once to be on a jury. The case was a bit dull.

However, I have been selected for the Current Population Survey of the US Census. Which is annoying since I get called 4 times a year about my income and such.
