Eh, you know you could just bookmark the IRC page, open bookmarks sidebar. Set the bookmark to load in the sidebar via the properties window for that specific bookmark?

Side by side, one browser window. Problem solved?
It's not that the problem. It's actually using the Java program. :P
The multiwindow split screen always works for me.

BTW mIRC still works for now on my notebook.

Yeah, I switched over to HexChat on my main machine (I do use mIRC on all my older computers, a cracked version of one of the 6.xx versions :P)... was using Y-Chat but switched to HexChat when I got my bouncer ;)

To be fair, the installed version of mIRC seems to bounce between "not registered exit now" to "not registered continue anyway".

Actually, if I could always hybernate the notebook without causing the network connection to literally explode and the system resources to hog down, I would be nice.

It's like playing with a slot machine. Either it works flawlessly or you're forced to hold the power button. >_>

I've used Trillian (Astra/4.2) for IRC for a while now. It's good enough, and acts as a communications hub for me. So yeah. I'm sorted for IRC.

Right now I'm only in three channels (two on NoLimitNET and one on SlashNET :P)... for a while I was in like 20 channels, sure got confusing ;) I post on a couple of non-Kafuka boards though (mainly Microsoft-related or similar)

I was quite surprised when Firefox 2.0.20 on Windows NT 3.51 actually supported Mibbit, heh :D (actually went into #kafuka with it last night)

Might need to try an old mIRC on it, wonder what would be the last one to work on NT 3.51 ;)
