Even if they may seem awkward to others, everybody has those little things in life that make them feel happy when they do it, if just for a moment.

Half an hour ago I was in a busy supermarket and Video Killed the Radio Star was playing on the speakers. I love joining the singer on the "owah-owah" parts :)

Thank you Haz. I don't know if you are trolling or just not understanding.

This thread about little things some people might not understand, not sexual stuff we don't want to know.

Like, how you could like the grass between your toes when walking barefoot through grass, or how you could like popping bubble wrap.

I personally always loved the feel of cold linoleum or tile on the skin. It's cooling and calming, and I could just fall asleep like that. Although then I look like a weird guy sleeping on my kitchen floor.

I've come to really dig the spot right in front of the toilet in the big bathroom -- yes, there are a few different ones in this building, the big one has a proper bathtub, and I loathe showering so I'm using that one now even though it's farther away BUT I DIGRESS! That spot in front of the toilet? The floor tiles are HOT.

It's very nice when I'm barefoot and, shall we say, "dumping some roms". Or go random and have a nice lay-down there, but usually the former.

Fucking bliss.

Getting my boots and socks off after a long day at work. Some days I swear the sound of the boots coming off sounds like an air brake system on an 18 wheeler.

Showering with hot water. Even during a freaking hot summer I can't stand showering with water that's not hot enough.

More generally I like feeling warm and fuzzy. I'm the kind who doesn't like cold.

In the same supermarket as I mentioned earlier, there is a board on the wall, where you can put little cards on, if you have a second-hand item or service to offer.
There was one card on there saying "Oompa loompa, 5 euros per hour".
Of course this joke is so wrong.
So I grabbed a pen from the counter and corrected it.
"Oompa loompa, 5 euros cocoa beans per hour".

I too am fond of opiates. They make life bearable.

The sound of rats/mice being caught in snap traps. Especially after hearing them gnaw on your house for days on end. Little shits.

What is the sound of a man becoming trapped within the routines and regulations of a banal normalcy?

Sounds bad for having the rodents in the first place. I'm so glad there's two cats here.. Although, only one of them would actually bother going after them. >_>

don't actually even know any English despite living in the country.

Argh.

These people ruin a good mood whenever I hear them. Get that ethnic crap out of my shopping experience. I don't want to hear the latest about the Mexican drug runs.

(It DOES count as an inconvenience if it makes you want to stop and strangle them, right? They're not tourists; they need to learn the goddamned language of their country of residence.

And no, that doesn't mean "make Spanish an official language of the United States". Fuck off, government.)

gms posts like this and him complaining about his parents

Well, it's not really a problem now... It's a common problem where I live. My house is usually very clean. The rodents just need a few places to stay. I just love it when I hear the traps get triggered.

As I keep reading on this topic.. It's giving me one of those silly thoughts about the topic, and something related indirectly.. and it's just satisfying being able to think of it.

Especially when it's mice and traps. Makes me think of a game I play.

God I miss Mouse Trap.

Sometimes I'll randomly start whistling or humming some video game music or something. Helps me relax, even if I'm not stressed. ~<3
