This is disgusting.

But really, did it surprise anyone here? Certainly not me. And I know for one that I'll never let myself be scanned, even if it means not being able to fly.

The US's airports are one of the bigger reasons why I never want to visit. <_<

I am glad I went to the USA before the terror against terror started.

Well, it depends... if you go on a busy day (like I usually do) they often let people bypass the body scanners and just use the metal detector.

...Of course, you'd think busy days would be when you'd want the most security... >_>

Why am I not surprised when I read that?

Too many people amused by such things.

I can think of legitimate reasons for low-resolution, blurry, oversaturated body scans.
I had a lot of x-ray scans when I was a child.

For the sharpness and crispness that they have now, I can only think of 2 reasons.
Perversity, and profit for the companies making these.

I can understand HAVING the body scanners but that... That's just stupid. You're wasting a large amount of time, patience, and money on your own perverted desires. Airport security sometimes really bothers me. Of course, it's not only the US, and I understand the need for it, but still....

That's just someone abusing their power, and could also be someone whom is entirely too easily offended. The answer: It would make life suck, but wouldn't leave people room to make these types of complaints if everything were strictly business. Don't say anything to the passenger or agent unless asked a specific question relating to the task at hand.

This is kind of old news. I read/heard about it long ago.

Actually, I don't. Of course airports need security, but it's been proven that smuggling weapons past what you have in the US right now is very possible. Furthermore, things like this only cut back on privacy without any pay off. If people wanted to hi-jack an airplane it would very well be possible to do it right now as is. :/

On a more light hearted note, this is totally what people should do:

Probably shoulda worded what I said better, sorry. I meant "I understand the need for tighter airport security". Not necessarily..... that. That I do not agree with, very much.

It's fine wear less clothes carry less carry-on and improve fuel economy too.
