With all of the product/book/music/etc. review websites out there, which scale do you think is best?

- 5 stars with no half stars: Probably the most common, I like this one because it's simple
- 5 stars with half stars: Really? if you're going to do this, why not...
- 10 stars: Eh, it's OK I suppose... not very common however
- A to F like school grades: I like this system too, I remember one of the gaming magazines being fond of this
- 61 to 100: why? what makes an 86 so different from an 87? It seems silly in a music or product review ;)
- 0 to 100: even worse than the preceding :P

Overall, I prefer the 5 stars without half stars as well as the A to F grade system for reviews ;)

I'm ok with the 5 stars, as long as it isn't on the 10-point system with "half stars" except when adding review scores together to get an average.

Otherwise, I really like the letter graded system. It's a good system.

I honestly don't like review scales... I read reviews for the reviewers experience, since people's opinions on video games so rarely agree perfectly with mine I need specifics.

Where's the "This is good/This is bad" option? D: I'm sorta like Nicole on this matter.

Rating scales just serve to lead readers to not read the body of the review and instead make a conclusion based on an arbitrary number only. They all suck to some extent or another.

I have a (0 to 5) rating that is similar to the rating system of Xkeeper/Tyty:

Here's my potentially NWS rating system.

I prefer 1 to 5 with half stars. (sometimes one is too high and the other is too low, half stars are necessary)

0 to 5 is usually good enough. I like having a zero for things that really suck.

I think I have seen negative numbers before. They were for things that are beyond horrible, I think.

Only -1 should be used. It should be treated like a black hole: -1 is basically negative-infinity, the lowest rating possible.
