Nah. I just know about it because I know about a lot of really weird shit.

If anyone's been curious as to where I've been: I'm on a not-very-good computer until my main one gets returned from the repair shop, and I've been kind of sick. Still am a little, but I'm getting way better.

It comes from the card game Magic: The Gathering, and refers to the process of assimilating a being into the plane of Phyrexia. You can read up more about that place over here

Considering that when Phyrexia's main visual theme isn't "cyborg zombies" it's medical horror, FUNNY YOU SHOULD MENTION THAT

"Phyresis" does, however, originate from "phthisis," which is an old name for tuberculosis.
