Because rainbows are like teenage girls. They can't even.

I often wonder if colours look the same to everyone.
For example, we all know strawberries are red, but that red may look different to two different people. Which also makes me wonder if everyone has the same "favourite colour" and just calls it different names. ____________________ Can you burn a Luigi board? |

Oh, so you mean like colors look different to people such as red for someone may be blue for somebody else? ____________________ Sunshine Realm Welcome to Aqmlm's, the only board with Al-Aq'mlmistrators! |

Posted by SquidEmpress Yes, but it's only their perception of it. They both know that the colour is red, even though it looks different to each of them. ____________________ Can you burn a Luigi board? |

I've heard of that theory before. Unfortunately, it cannot be proven unless you are able to enter another person's mind. ____________________ Sunshine Realm Welcome to Aqmlm's, the only board with Al-Aq'mlmistrators! |

Posted by SquidEmpress Well, I like the way colours look to me...of course, that may be because this is the only way I've experienced it. ____________________ Can you burn a Luigi board? |

I wonder how colors would be like to two people who have tetrachromacy. They both see tetrachromatic colors, but possibly in different ways. ____________________ Sunshine Realm Welcome to Aqmlm's, the only board with Al-Aq'mlmistrators! |

Posted by Taryn I've heard about this. It's not a 4th colour. Here's an example: For the simplicity of this example, we'll assume that a colour has 100 shades. A normal person would be able to see all 100 of them. But if you were tetrachromatic, each of the 100 shades would split into 100 more shades...basically, you would see 10x more colours. ____________________ Can you burn a Luigi board? |

It's more than. It's like seeing infrared radiation and seeing a color between orange and red that is completely different from orange red. ____________________ Sunshine Realm Welcome to Aqmlm's, the only board with Al-Aq'mlmistrators! |

Everyone take this colour test, and post your score: http://www.xrite.com/online-color-test-challenge
My score is 13. (0 is the best, 100 is the worst) ____________________ Can you burn a Luigi board? |

Well, I took that.
I scored a 16. Most of my weakness is in the green spectrum. I expected that to happen before I took it. I know I already have trouble spotting the difference in some shades of green. My strength in that though, was in the blue spectrum in comparison. The world could always use more heroes! |

Posted by CherryBunny For me, the one with the blues and purples (the third one) was the easiest. Also, 1700th post. ____________________ Can you burn a Luigi board? |

It's simple - the musical scale has 7 notes, Newton felt like the color spectrum should have 7 distinct bands of light and used indigo to fill in that 7th slot. In reality, indigo is closer to blue and should not be considered a distinct band in the rainbow. |
