Because
A) not everypony can find a ² on their keyboard, or even know that you could do AltGr-2 to get it. B) in most programming languages, it's written in a notation like that. lolninja |

Yes they do. Do American keyboards not have one?
Alt Gr + 2 = ². |

♥224 ✿4705 ★50 Posted by Liliana American keyboards generally just have another Alt key rather than an Alt Gr. Meanwhile, ^ is conveniently at Shift+6... |

Right Control + Right Alt, perhaps? Depending on your settings, maybe... |

^ gets its very own key here, right to the left of 1. It's a dead key though which is mildly annoying. |

^ is dead to me too, but it's okay. It's Shift-6, btw. |

Alt Gr-2 doesn't do shit for me. The only extra things Alt Gr grants me are ¦€áéíóúÁÉÍÓÚ The world could always use more heroes! |

If you don't have an Fn key, you probably use a desktop computer. |

Find a laptop without a Fn key?
Yeah, if you don't mind a stone-age piece of crap. I wish they had never started doing it. |

You're denying yourself a much more functional and powerful laptop just because you decided that you shouldn't have to press two keys at once? There /are/ key remappers, you know. |
