And remember a few years ago how you could toggle the search results page to show videos by revelance? Well, that option no longer exists. It seems like ads have taken over the first search result. :|

Flash does indeed blow the proverbial electrostatic 'chunks'. I am not liking how we're still have the same BetaMax war over and over again with formats.

APNG works on Mozilla, but WebM works on Chrome/Webkit, and so on. We don't need any more artificial barriers. (Corporations suck).

YouTube was made of pure awesome in 2006.

Now, it's taken over by the corporate land of obsessive tracking and way too many ads. I find it unusable without AdBlock.

YouTube is also mow about monetizing your own videos. I've seen very shitty videos that have millions of views and very nice videos that have a few hundred views.

It could if it is really good because most youtube users have started using nicovideo but that won't replace youtube because that is a japanease site by heart.

I remember when websites like DailyMotion, Vimeo, and similar were popular alternatives to YouTube a few years back (at one point I had a DailyMotion account but later returned to YouTube) ;)

Before then, anyone remember those videos you had to download and use a QuickTime or RealPlayer on? :P

Dailymotion sounds like a news site, viemo and dailymotion miss what makes youtube great and if we recreate the same old feel but with more features that will make it better then youtube we could make something amazing.
